How to define Email Server

In order to distribute payslip, Employee Annual Leave Status, IR56B, Confirmation notification of Update Personal Particulars, etc by Email. A valid email server settings are required.

In top menu, System Manager > HRPro Setup > Company Setup, Email Server Tab,




Emails will sent using SMTP server.
- The require of the User ID and Password is depending on the SMTP server security settings.
- The validity of Sender Email is also depending on the SMTP Server settings.

When CC to sender is checked, every outgoing email will have a copy send to the Sender Email.

When BCC to sender is checked, every outgoing email will have a Blind Carbon Copy send to the Sender Email.

Most of the time you can only input the SMTP server provided by your ISP (See Hong Kong ISP SMTP Information) and leave the User ID and Password empty.

For Web Client, Email Server Settings can be defined in either Personal Options, Company Setup, HRPro.Config or Web.Config, When Email Server Settings is defined in Personal Options, it will override the settings in Company Setup. The setting in Company Setup will override the settings in HRPro.Config. The settings in HRPro.Config will override the settings in Web.Config.

For Employee Portal, Email Server Settings will read setting in Company Setup, If it is empty, it will read Web.Config SMTP settings.
