The "Annual Leave Forfeiture" in HRPro is used to manage the process of forfeiting unused annual leave for employees.
As of: The date on which the Annual Leave Balance figures are calculated.
Leave Entitlement Class: Select the specific Leave Entitlement Class to forfeit.
Maximum Days to retain: The available options are
Last Year's Entitlement x 2
Last Year's Entitlement ÷ 2
Last Year's Entitlement
A custom range from 1 to 60 days
Forfeiture Options
Based on company policy, the available forfeiture methods include:
Forfeit Actual Balance: Uses the actual leave balance to determine the days to forfeit.
Forfeit Actual Balance Brought Forward: Uses the actual brought forward leave balance for forfeiture calculations.
Forfeit Actual Balance Brought Forward (Remaining): Applies forfeiture calculations to the remaining brought-forward leave balance.
Forfeit Eligible Balance Brought Forward: Uses the eligible brought-forward balance to determine the days to forfeit.
Configuration Settings
You can suppress certain forfeiture options, such as Forfeit Actual Balance, Forfeit Balance Brought Forward, Forfeit Actual Balance (Remaining), and Forfeit Eligible Balance Brought Forward in the Leave Module Setup, Annual Leave tab, and Annual Leave Forfeiture panel.
Note: Employees with negative leave balances will not be subject to forfeiture.
