IR56E - Notice of New Employment Form is under the Taxation Management.
The official name for IR56E is Notification by an employer of an employee who commences to be employed.
The IR56E is a document required by the Inland Revenue Department (IRD). Employers must complete and submit this form to notify the IRD when a new employee begins employment. It is mandated under Section 52(4) of the Inland Revenue Ordinance (Cap. 112).
Employers are required to submit this form within three months of the employee's start date.
This grid displays employees who have not yet printed the IR56E. To view employees who have already printed it, choose either "Show All" or "Show Inactive".
The IR56E's active status is determined by the Print IR56E checkbox found in the Employee Master, Inland Revenue tab —unchecked means active, and checked means inactive.
To download the IR56E, simply click the appropriate "Download" button. Once the IR56E has been downloaded, its status automatically changes to inactive.
