Employee Portal System Requirements
To use Employee Portal, you need:
SQL Server with HRPro database installed on the network and is accessible by Employee Portal Server
Operating system and software: A 32-bit/64-bit version of Microsoft® Windows® Server™ 2008 Standard or Enterprise Edition or later.
Browser Supported: The two latest, released versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari with JavaScript enabled
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2 or above (should be supplied by Windows Server 2019 or above)
For Email Integration: To send an email, you need an SMTP server. If you have the ability to send Internet emails, you probably already have one of these somewhere.
Server Hardware: Most modern Intel servers will be fine. We recommend 2 GB of memory for optimal performance. Do not run WebLeave on a server which is also running large enterprise applications such as Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft Sharepoint.
Running IIS on a domain controller is not recommended.
If Employee Portal is opened to the Internet, proper network infrastructure and security control are required.
Recommendation of an all-in-one (application server + database server + web server) server:
CPU of i3/5/7 or Xeon, 16GB RAM, 100GB Hard Disk space, preferably with 2 hard disks in RAID-1 (disk mirroring) setting.
Windows Server License Required: Windows Server of latest or 2nd latest version (64-bit)
Database Server License Required: No (just the free Microsoft SQL Server Express or Standard Edition of latest or 2nd latest version)
Recommendation for 3 separate servers if budget allows for best performance as shown in HRPro Network Diagram
