Unprotect Payroll Batch

Unprotect Payroll Batch is under Payroll.

The "Unprotect Payroll Batch" function is used to reverse the protection status of a payroll batch. This means that if a payroll batch was previously locked or protected to prevent further changes, using this function will unlock it, allowing modifications to be made. This is useful in situations where adjustments or corrections are needed after the initial payroll processing.

If the preparation data is protected and you find that the data are incorrect, you may unprotect the Payroll Batch through this function.  The data for the stated month will be unprotected, and you may amend or generate the payroll batch again.

When EAO2007 is turned on, it is not recommended to unprotect the previous month's payroll batches and amend the figures, as this will absolutely make the past 12-month average wage of the future batches incorrect.

Leaving payroll batches unprotected is not a best practice even if EAO2007 is not turned on. HRPro always disregarded all the unprotected batches.

To unprotect the payroll batch, click the Unprotect button on the row that the batch wishes to unprotect.
