Enable Shift Differential Pay for Hourly Rate Employee Explanation
When Enable Shift Differential Pay for Daily/Hourly Rate Employee is turned on, Hourly Rate Employee will enable different hourly rates for different shift sessions, e.g.
Hourly Rate 1 for Shift Session 1 (Scheduled Work In Time to Schedule Meal Out Time).
Hourly Rate 2 for Shift Session 2 (Scheduled Meal In Time to Schedule Rest Out Time/Work Out Time).
Hourly Rate 3 (Optional if Rest Time is enabled) for Shift Session 3 (Scheduled Rest In Time to Scheduled Work Out Time).
e.g. $100 for Shift Session 1 (Day Shift), $120 for Shift Session 2 (Night Shift). etc.
If the hourly rate employee has different hourly rates for different work types (e.g. Bar Bending $600 per hour, Bricklaying $300 per hour), different hourly rates can be assigned to different Shifsessionson of the Shift code on the Roster of this employee.
1. Enable Shift Differential Pay for the Employee, go to Employee Master, Salary Info tab, and turn on Enable Shift Differential Pay for Daily/Hourly Rate Employee. And define the hourly rates for different work types.
2. Define different Hourly Rates for different Shift sessions in Shift Code. e.g.
In this case, this employee will get an Hourly-Rate-6 (i.e. $600) for the morning session and $300 for the afternoon session. (the time information of the morning session and afternoon session are defined in the Working Hours Setting tab).
3. Define Roster Table as normal
4. Depending on the option Pay Regular Hours for Hourly Rate Employee (in Payroll Module Setup, Payroll tab), the employee wages will calculate based on the roster table or attendance records of this employee.
