HRPro AI Appraisal Analyst is an in-screen assistant available from the appraisal form. It analyzes the current appraisal content and returns a professional summary with observations such as performance highlights, inconsistencies, rating gaps, vague comments, and possible follow-up points for the reviewer or manager.
The tool is designed to support appraisal review, not replace managerial judgment. Users should review the AI-generated analysis together with the actual appraisal content before finalizing any rating or comment.
Review appraisal content faster by generating an immediate analysis from the current appraisal record.
Highlight unusual or inconsistent information that may need attention before approval.
Support more balanced and evidence-based discussions between employee, reviewer, and manager.
Help identify vague comments or rating differences that may require clarification.
Improve consistency in appraisal quality across departments and reviewers.
Open the employee’s appraisal record in HRPro.
Review or enter the appraisal information, including goals and objectives, overall ratings, factor ratings, and comments.
Click the AI Appraisal Analyst button at the bottom-right corner of the page.
In the AI window, choose Ask AI and enter your request, or use one of the suggested prompts. The screen shows tabs for Ask AI and Analysis.
Submit your request and wait for the analysis to be generated. The result appears in the Analysis tab as a formatted report.
Read the output carefully and compare it with the appraisal details on screen before making any changes or decisions.
You can ask the AI Appraisal Analyst to perform tasks such as:
Summarize the appraisal’s overall performance narrative and highlight anything unusual or inconsistent.
Identify strengths, development areas, and follow-up questions for the manager.
Check whether self-rating, reviewer rating, and comments are consistent for each factor.
Flag factors where self-rating and reviewer rating diverge significantly.
Detect vague or generic comments that do not justify the numeric score.
Check if the appraisal includes both strengths and development areas as required.
These prompt patterns work well because specific and focused requests usually produce clearer and more useful AI responses.
The generated analysis may include:
An overall performance overview.
Key inconsistencies between self-rating, reviewer rating, and comments.
Potential calibration concerns.
Missing or weak justification in factor comments.
Suggested follow-up areas for manager review.
Make sure the appraisal form is as complete as possible before running the analysis. More complete input usually produces more useful output.
Ask one clear question at a time instead of combining too many checks in one request. Help-center guidance and AI assistant guidance both favor short, task-focused instructions.
Use the AI result as a review aid, not as the final decision. Manager review is still necessary for fairness, context, and approval quality.
Where the AI flags inconsistencies, verify the related factor ratings and comments directly in the appraisal form.
Update vague or generic comments so that the written remarks support the selected rating more clearly.
The AI analysis is based on the appraisal information available at the time of the request. If the appraisal is updated, run the analysis again to refresh the result.
Output quality depends on the completeness and clarity of the appraisal content entered by the user.
The AI-generated report should be treated as advisory content to support appraisal review and discussion.
To use AI Appraisal Analyst, an active HRPro AI Subscription is required.
