Approve Leave Application
The "Approve Leave Application" feature in an Employee Portal enables managers or HR representatives to review and approve leave requests submitted by employees.
Here's how it works:
Access Pending Requests: Log into the Employee Portal navigate to the "Leave Approval" section and select the application you wish for approval.
Review Details: Examine the submitted leave applications, including the type of leave, dates, and reasons provided by employees.
Evaluate: Consider the requests in line with company policies, employee availability, and any overlapping leave schedules.
Decision Making: Approve or reject the leave requests. Comments or feedback can be added if necessary.
Notify Employee: Once a decision is made, the employee is notified of the outcome.
This feature ensures a streamlined and transparent leave approval process, maintaining clarity and efficiency in managing employee time off. Keep everything on track.
The figure on Leave Balance As of for Annual Leave will display either Eligible Balance (Entitled Balance) or Actual Balance depending on the setting When validating Annual Leave Balance, based on the check box option in Leave Module Setup and Annual Leave Entitlement
If the check-box option Show Calendar on the Approval page on Personal Option (EPortal) is turned on, A calendar is displayed on the Approve Leave Application page to view the leave status of all your subordinates. You can select either Event Calendar or Company Calendar to display if you have the proper permissions.
When a Leave Application is approved, the system creates a corresponding Leave Entry.
When an In/Out time correction Application is approved, the system updates the corresponding Attendance Record.
If the option Application Rejection requires Remarks (in Leave Type) is turned on, the system does not allow the approver to reject the application without inputting the Remarks.
If the Application is Partially Approved or Majority Approved and the Approval Work Flow is by Level, an Email Notification will be sent to
Next Approver (as To).
If the application is finally approved, an Email Notification will be sent to
The Applicant (as To).
HR Email (as CC) if Enable HR receives Approved/Rejected Email (In Employee Portal Setup, Leave Application Tab) is turned on
Department Manager Email (as CC), if the Enable Department Manager receives Approved/Rejected Email (In Employee Portal Setup, Leave Application Tab), is turned on.
Approved Email CC List in Employee Master (as CC) if the Application is finally approved.
If the Application is finally rejected, an Email Notification will be sent to
The Applicant (as To)
Approvers that already approved (Partially Approved or Majority Approved) that Application (as CC) if the Approval Work Flow is by level
HR Email (as CC) if Enable HR receives Approved/Rejected Email (In Employee Portal Setup, Leave Application Tab) is turned on
Department Manager Email (as CC) if Enable Department Manager receives Approved/Rejected Email (In Employee Portal Setup, Leave Application Tab) is turned on
