Punch Card
You can use Punch Card in Employee Portal to record your clock in-out time to replace or supplement the function of the traditional attendance device to update the Attendance Record in the Attendance Module.
To turn on Punch Card, go to Employee Portal Setup, Employee Self Service tab, Enable Functions panel and check Enable "Punch Card".
For employees, Show Punch Card in Employee Master, EPortal tab and Enable Attendance Record in Employee Master, HR Info tab must be turned on.
If Punch Card Device is selected GPS Location in Employee Portal Setup, Employee Self Service tab, Employee Portal is trying to locate the GPS location of the browser. If GPS location is available (usually only mobile devices can provide accurate location information), the GPS location will be recorded as a Device in the Attendance Record.Â
Please note that Punch Card considers Check-Out Cut-Off Hour (in Global Working Hours/Shift Code) for the overnight shift. Say if the punch time is on or before Check-Out Cut-Off Hour (set to 05:00) e.g. 04:13, Punch Card will treat the punch date as the last day date (yesterday) and the punch time becomes current time + 24 (28:13).
Meal In and Meal Out times are available to the employee to punch if
Enable Meal Out/In is turned on in Attendance Module Setup, Attendance Records panel.
Enable Meal Time for Global Working Hours/Shift Code is turned on in Master Setup, Master Management panel.
If the employee is a roster employee, the Shift Code on that day must be Meal Time check Attendance turned on, Meal Out Time and Meal In Time are defined.
If the employee is a Global Working Hours employee, the Global Working Hours of the employee must be Meal Time check Attendance turned on, Meal Out Time and Meal In Time are defined. As well as that day is not Sunday and is not Saturday off and is not half day Saturday off.
Rest In and Rest Out times are available to the employee to punch if
Enable Rest Out/In is turned on in Attendance Module Setup, Attendance Records panel.
Enable Rest Time for Global Working Hours/Shift Code is turned on in Master Setup, Master Management panel.
If the employee is a roster employee, the Shift Code on that day must be Rest Time check Attendance turned on, Rest Out Time and Rest In Time are defined.
If the employee is a Global Working Hours employee, the Global Working Hours of the employee must be Rest Time check Attendance turned on, Rest Out Time and Rest In Time are defined. As well as that day is not Sunday and is not Saturday off.
